The platform aims to promote the effective use of foresight in R&I policy in Europe, in particular in the EU. It supports the work of the Horizon Europe Foresight Network across its tasks, providing intelligence, contributing to the coordination of foresight endeavours in Horizon Europe and across EU Member States and Associated Countries, supporting the development of a European R&I foresight community, and widening futures-awareness, futures-literacy and in general public engagement with foresight in Europe and with EU R&I policy foresight.
Key objectives:
1. Explore and identify emerging developments (e.g. trends, weak signals of potentially disruptive developments) in the global and European context for EU R&I policy;
2. Explore key trends, events/signposts and wildcards that may substantially impact the global and European context for R&I policy;
3. Identify potential areas of major change and explore possible disruptive scenarios and roadmaps.
