TRANSITIE COALITIE VOEDSEL (TcV)
TRANSITIE COALITIE VOEDSEL (TcV) is coalition of Dutch frontrunners in the field of agriculture, food, nature and health, who strive to shape and speed up the transition, on concrete solutions focused on multidimensional value creation (4 returns) with underlying principles such as transparency, sustainability, health, and fair price and incomes. The TcV integral systems approach and collective transition thinkers are the driving force for the necessary change, “a healthy life on a healthy planet, for everyone”, which should substitute the place of the ‘no more hunger’ European paradigm.
This disruptive way of thinking and acting, gave birth to new transformative projects such as:
- Joining forces among innovative farmer networks set up with the name Boerenwijsheid – now known as the Boerenraad (Farmers Council) – to give innovative farmers a stronger voice and to empower mainstream farmers to adapt their farms to ecological boundaries and the society around them
- Defining an action-agenda with and for companies willing to change the food environment towards more sustainable, healthy and plant based, based on scientific research on evidence. TcV providing the advocacy for a supportive government, financial institutions, NGO's for this change
- Research and advocacy on the changing the 'financial and fiscal incentives' in the food- and agricultural sector
The work conducted by the TcV consortium has provided direction to the agrifood transition, acting as guides, inspirers but also as challengers, inspiring future scenarios and diverse intervention strategies.
